Qualifications and Approach
I am qualified in Counselling and hold an FdA in Integrative Counselling, awarded by Greenwich University. I am a full member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (
BACP for more information)currently working towards full accreditation. As well as working for myself I work for a local charity offering counselling to the community, The Counselling Partnership.
Personal ApproachMy Training reflects an integration of the Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Transpersonal schools of Therapy.
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the past and how that translates in to the way we live life today.
Person Centred therapy focuses on building the relationship between Client and Therapist and giving the client a space to explore themselves in a non-judgemental and safe environment. It focuses on the relationship between Client and Therapist as a way of understanding how the client lives their life.
Transpersonal therapy encourages the exploration of instinct and use of those instinctual feelings. This can involve using more creative forms of expression than simple verbal communication such as art or sand trays.
